Department: Division of Analytical Sciences, Department of Molecular Biotechnology or Department of Bioresources & Food Sciences.
We are seeking applications from potential candidates for multiple positions (3 or 4 Positions) in broad areas of Food Chemistry, Phytochemical Analysis, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry (related to food science like carrying Bioassays: Antioxidents etc.). Our lab (Professor Se Won Park, Department of Bioresources and Food Science & Department of Molecular Biotechnology, School of Life & Environmental Sciences, Konkuk University) is seeking applications at the Assistant Professor level: A or B, depending on the publications of the applicant. These positions are of FULL time Research category and will belong to the KU-SMART Full time Research Professor Program. Salary is ranged from 3200 USD-3800 USD/ month (Equivalent KRW) depending on level B or A. Research interests will be focused on Natural Plant/Food/ Product Extraction or Isolation, analytical analysis (HPLC, GC, Mass, NMR etc) and biological analysis (for example, antioxidant activity) as well as related experiments with these fields. Candidates having pre-experience in this area will be preferred. Strong English knowledge is desirable. Candidate will have to guide junior member of the lab (M. S and Ph.D) in these areas of research and will have to work independently under the ongoing projects of the lab.
The candidate must have obtained PhD degree in the stated areas as well as POSTDOC experience in the above mentioned research fields will be strongly appreciated. Note that, the important University criteria for the selection is, 9 SCI/SCIE papers between the time periods 1st March-2011 to November/December-2013 as a First or Corresponding author. Candidates not fulfilling these criteria (9 SCI/SCIE papers in last 3 years), are need not to apply as they will be disqualified according to the selection rules.
